Certain websites need to be secured. The problem occurs on Windows based machines that have music sharing programs installed on them. These programs install components into the Internet Explorer web browser which causes various symptoms to occur when attempting to login to some servers. When logging into WebCT one symptom is to be redirected to the www.ask.co.uk  (Ask Jeeves site). Other symptoms can occur as well, generally difficulty in logging into the WebCT server in one form or another. When logging in to some OSU sites when the login button is clicked after entering OSU Internet Username and Password an error is generated. The most common error messages are "your authentication key wasn't recognized" or "function not found, your browser sent a query the server couldn't understand", but other errors can be generated as well.
